Plus Ultra Utrecht
Flexible laboratory and office building at Utrecht Science Park
Thursday, April 13, 2023 Kadans Science Partner and the Utrecht Science Park Foundation officially gave the go-ahead for the construction of Plus Ultra Utrecht. Goossen te Pas (part of VolkerWessels) is realizing this sustainable multi-tenant building Plus Ultra Utrech on behalf of Kadans at the Utrecht Science Park. The building will soon offer combined office and laboratory space for companies in the life sciences sector, focusing mainly on start-ups and scale-ups.
Future-proof
Plus Ultra Utrecht will be a future-proof and energy-neutral building. The ambitions are high! We are aiming for a BREEAM-NL Outstanding certification and a completely energy-neutral building with BENG 2 <0. Minimal energy consumption and optimum future-proofing will be achieved, among other things, with PV panels on the roof and on the facades, a thermal energy storage system, application of as many reusable materials as possible and the high degree of detachability.
Flexibel
The layout of Plus Ultra is flexible and has a hybrid main supporting structure. This creates large spans and thus large floor areas that can be freely divided and incorporated. This allows the building to easily move with the needs of both new and existing users.
