VolkerStevin awarded riverside wall reconstruction contract at the Port of Workington

VolkerStevin has been appointed by Cumbria County Council to reconstruct the Port of Workington’s riverside wall, which will replace the existing failing structure. The project involves replacing 170m of anchored sheet steel pile quay wall and capping beam, stabilising the existing failing quay and leaving a corner of the port as suitable habitat to encourage wildlife.
